Microsoft files trademark for Avatar Motocross Madness

Vintage stuntbike racer to get a revamp?

Dusty old stuntbike racer Motocross Madness could be getting a fresh lick of paint, judging by a new Microsoft trademark filing.

As spotted by Fusible, the platform holder logged something called Avatar Motocross Madness with the United States Patent and Trademark Office last week.

Sounds like an avatar-friendly Xbox 360 update could be in the works. Microsoft has so far declined to offer any confirmation.

The original game was published by Microsoft on PC back in 1998, followed by a sequel in 2000.

The developer responsible, Rainbow Studios, was purchased by THQ in 2001 and went on to work on the MX vs ATV racing series before being closed down late last year.
