Looks like Microsoft's pricey Xbox Elite controller is getting an upgrade
Charge!A new version of Microsoft's expensive Xbox Elite controller appears to have been outed online.
Photos showing the upgraded Xbox Elite pad first appeared on Chinese site Baidu and were then independently verified by The Verge, which also noted how the photos backed up Microsoft patents filed at the end of last year.
A separate photo from reddit user EDDS86 then appeared, which showed off the controller in full:

The new pad has - finally - a USB-C port for charging. Frankly, it was ridiculous the original Xbox Elite controller still ran on AA batteries and didn't have a charge pack included.
Other new features will reportedly include a three-profile switch, three-level Hair Trigger Locks, a longer key travel for those interchangeable paddles, plus Windows 10 Bluetooth support.
The Verge's report also includes word of a case which will charge the controller while on the go. Handy!
