Lego City Undercover announced for Wii U

3DS version too.

Lego City Undercover has just been unveiled for Wii U at Nintendo's E3 show.

It's a colourful open world crime fighting game for a family audience.

The gameplay looks firmly in the same vein as Lego Batman, Harry Potter et al but with various new features built around the Wii U gamepad.

One feature highlighted saw the player scanning the environment with the controller for hidden criminal suspects.

It's being developed by Lego veterans Traveller's Tales with Warner Bros handling publishing. There's also a 3DS version in the works.
