Just Cause dev's theHunter coming to consoles this year

theHunter, the open-world hunting game from the developer of Just Cause, comes out on consoles this year.

Avalanche Studios announced theHunter: Call of the Wild is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017. It launched on PC earlier this year.

theHunter is set across two massive reserves in Germany and the Pacific Northwest. Expect to see deer, black bears and bison as well as loads of birds, critters and insects. It uses Apex - the open world engine Avalanche used to build Just Cause, so there's dynamic weather events, full day and night cycles and even a scents system that works with the wind.
