Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge launches in the UK at some point between 23rd September and 21st October. Home Entertainment Suppliers managing director Sebastian Giompaolo said the UK launch had run into "a few unforeseen issues".

"My sincerest apology to all the fans, but all efforts and resources are in use to get this product to market as soon as possible," he said.

"Please be patient a little longer, once you play Rugby Challenge you will quickly forget the anguish of waiting."

Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge is a fully-fledged rugby game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A version for PlayStation Vita will launch at a later date.

The game also holds the official licences for 93 teams and 31 stadia, as well as a multitude of leagues including the French league Top 14 and the Celtic RaboDirect PRO12.
