Inside and Limbo dev teases its next game

When you wish upon a star...

Limbo and Inside developer Playdead has teased the following concept art for its next game on Twitter:

"Thanks for your warm reception of Inside," the delightful Danish studio said. "Since release, Playdead founder Arnt Jensen and the team have been working on the next adventure."

The murky grey/blue colour palette is certainly reminiscent of Inside, while its main character looks like an astronaut wandering through a desert lugging about what appears to be either a net or shredded parachute. They're looking up at a flaming object zipping through the sky. What could it be?

Interestingly, the perspective here suggests a fully 3D game, unlike Limbo and Inside's 2D side-on camera. This could just be for the concept art, however, to set the tone. There's no telling how it will actually play.

Our Chris Donlan highly recommended Inside. I liked it quite a lot as well and wrote about its very memorable ending.
