Capcom has announced that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has sold 250,000 copies.

That's pretty impressive considering the downloadable scrapper has only been out for just over three weeks, and only on Xbox Live Arcade - the PSN version hasn't turned up yet, and there's no further word from Capcom on when it might.

Capcom reckons that the brisk sales represent a record for digitally-distributed games. "HD Remix has shattered both day one and week one sales records and will most likely break 30 day sales records as well.  It's on its way to becoming the highest grossing digital title ever," said the Capcom post.

Congratulations, Capcom. Why don't you celebrate be re-reading our impressively technical review.
