Guitar Hero dev is working on an FPS

Neversoft recruiting for mystery Acti IP.

Former Guitar Hero developer Neversoft is working on a new FPS for Activision, according to a recent recruitment call.

As spotted by GamerZines, a number of listings have popped up on its recruitment site for multiplayer level designers, network programmers, and a Windows PC Platform Lead Engineer to work on a AAA "new FPS".

While it's more famous for its work on the Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk franchises, this isn't the studio's first foray into the action genre. Back in 2005 it released solid Wild West shooter Gun.

As widely publicised, Activision pulled the plug on its faultering Guitar Hero franchise earlier this year.
