Children are kind of useful, giving people who no longer fancy going to the pub very often something to fill their time with instead. They also ensure the continuation of the human race solely by existing, which is pretty impressive when you think about it. Apologies to any parents reading this by the way, I really am trying my best.
PlayStation Plus subscribers can download stealthy shooter Hitman Absolution and bonkers puzzle game Catherine for free this month.
EA-published role-player Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has launched top in the UK all-format charts.

The Catherine Stray Sheep Edition, named after the Stray Sheep Bar where Vincent likes to unwind, includes:
Publisher Deep Silver will release the Catherine Stray Sheep Edition in Europe, it has announced.
Offbeat adventure Catherine has had its European release window narrowed to next February, local publisher Deep Silver has revealed.

The eye-catching puzzle-platformer has already launched to success elsewhere, with Japanese and US sales of the niche title totalling over 500,000. Developer Atlus previously announced the game was its most successful launch ever.
Surreal but brilliant puzzle-platform-adventure game Catherine has sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide, Atlus parent Index has announced.
Catherine's sales helped Index record a healthy profit year-on-year, Andriasang reports. Those figures were aided further by the recent Japanese re-release of role-player Persona 2 on PSP.
Since its US launch in July, Catherine has become Atlus' biggest game in the publisher's 20-year history.
The Xbox 360 was the best selling telly console in North America last month, with 277,000 sales.
Oddball adventure Catherine is the most successful launch in Atlus' history, the publisher has announced.
Exact numbers haven't been offered but Atlus exec Tim Pivnicny confirmed to IGN that the game had broken the loosely-defined record.
"Catherine has exceeded our highest expectations," he said.
Editor's note: Catherine is released in Europe this week. Here we present our review of the North American release of the game, first published in July last year. To the best of our knowledge it's still accurate with respect to the European version.
The main character of Catherine, Vincent Brooks, is the type of guy who you might describe as "aimless." Except in Catherine, as in life, there's no such thing as aimless. If you choose to go nowhere, life will aim you on its own, straight into the choppy waters of the future. Life's kind of a jerk that way.
Yet still Vincent attempts to coast. He's a 32-year-old software designer who has been with his girlfriend, Katherine (with a "K"), for a few years. She's been hinting about marriage lately, asking Vincent when he's going to meet her family. It's around then that he starts having these dreams.
Eye-catching Japanese mental 'em up Catherine is coming to Europe.
Boxers! Pillowcase! Shirt! Game!
It's a quiet week for the PlayStation Store. Sony's Welcome Back offer has ended and the company has now caught up with the backlog left by the PSN downtime.
There are no new PS3 or PSP games to download, but a few decent dollops of DLC.
A day after its launch on Xbox 360, PS3 owners can now investigate Rockstar's final L.A. Noire episode. The Reefer Madness vice case pits Cole Phelps against a city-wide dope ring and is free for those who own the Rockstar Pass.
"It's one hell of a game."
No sheep, by shear luck.
Stylish erotic action thriller Catherine will be released in America on 26th July.
As no European release has been confirmed, those interested in playing will need to import. Remember that PS3 games are region-free, which is nice.
A demo of Catherine has also been released on the Japanese PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace.
Risqué adventure game Catherine has "topless female demons" and colourful "demon bride" and "chainsaw-wielding baby" bosses.
More talking sheep and men in boxers.
The Collector's Edition of Catherine comes with a pair of pants - take that, serious Sony identity theft saga.
Spooky, sexy, strange.
