Fullmetal Alchemist DS in August

Brawler finally for Europe.

Empire Interactive will be bringing Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy to Europe in August.

It's the first DS game to be based on the award-winning manga series of the same name, and has already been released in Japan and the US.

You play main man Edward Elric as he tries to combat the evil Homunculi and acquire the Philosopher's Stone (no relation). Later on you'll get the chance to jump into the shoes of a handful of other characters: Roy Mustang, Scar, Izumi, Alex Louis Armstrong and Edward's brother Alphonse.

Dual Sympathy will draw on the touch-screen ability of the platform by letting you scribble transmutation circles for your alchemy power and trigger special moves. Some of these will be necessary to help you progress across obstacles as your progress in the game, such as creating cannons to blast down walls.

Get bored of that and there's always the 10 cheeky mini-games to get stuck into, like arm-wrestling, scratch, and, er, artistic wood-chopping.

Pop over to our Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy gallery to have a look at how it's shaping up.
