Forza 3, FIFA 10 make Japan chart

But big westerners make little impact.

Xbox 360 exclusive Forza Motorsport 3 has raced into the Japanese chart this week, finishing at six.

That's one place above FIFA 10 on PS3, a game in a series long considered an outsider in the face of Konami's home-grown Winning Eleven series (Pro Evolution Soccer).

There are two further new entries in the top 10, which are Rune Factory 3 on DS at five and Dynasty Warriors 6 Special on PSP at 10.

However, there's little change at the top of the Media Create hardware and software charts. Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Wii Fit Plus, Tomodachi Collection (Friend Collection) and Inazuma Eleven 2 make up the top five games.

Meanwhile, DS holds top hardware honours with nearly 50,000 sales for the week ending 25th October. And PSP, PS3 and Wii follow with 33,000, 30,000 and 26,000 sales, respectively.

Miles behind is Xbox 360 with 4470 sales, and PS2 bottoms the pile with a paltry 1951 sales. Happy anniversary.
