Football Manager Handheld 2013 kicks off tonight on iOS, Android

Sugar daddies available via in-app purchase.

The Android and iOS version of this year's Football Manager will be released at midnight tonight in the UK, publisher Sega has announced.

Football Manager Handheld 2013 offers an expanded core game, including a larger number of playable leagues, plus options to choose club captains and promote reserve team players.

User interfaces have been redesigned for tablet-sized devices, and newer iOS hardware will get retina display support.

Sega is yet to announce pricing, but has mentioned a number of in-app purchases designed to "accelerate" player progress.

You'll be able to buy money-giving "sugar daddies" for your club, expand your stadium, manage national teams from the off and gain a seat on the board (granting immunity from the sack).

Football Manager 2013 launched for PC last month and won a vuvuzela-honking 9/10 in Eurogamer's review.
