UPDATE: Warner has just provided Eurogamer with the following statement: "The F.E.A.R. 3 launch date will now be in May 2011, as we look to deliver the best possible game for our consumers."

ORIGINAL STORY: Horror FPS F.E.A.R. 3 has been delayed from 25th March to May.

Confirmation comes from an administrator on the Fearfans.com forum (via VG247).

"The F.E.A.R. 3 launch date will now be in May 2011, as we look to deliver the best possible game for our fans," reads the post.

"Thanks for the patience, I promise it will be worth it."

It is the second delay to the game. Once upon a time "winter 2010" was the plan. But in August last year F.E.A.R. 3 was shoved, without explanation, to "TBC 2011", before a 25th March date was nailed down.

F.E.A.R. 3 adds co-op to the spooky shooter series. Remember that little girl Alma from the first game? You'll play F.E.A.R. 3 as her two sons: Point Man and Paxton Fettel. One concentrates on guns and time-slowing, the other on telekinetic weaponry.

Eurogamer has asked publisher Warner for comment.
