This is a pleasant way to end a sweaty Thursday - EarthBound's release date has been announced, and it turns out it's today.

The laid-back SNES classic is coming to the Wii U's Virtual Console at 5pm BST, which is certainly sooner than I'd expected. Itoi also voiced the father in the famous Studio Ghibli film My Neighbour Totoro, which is something I definitely knew before just discovering it on Wikipedia a couple of seconds ago.
