Dirty Dancing Game revealed

It's an action puzzler. Really.

Codemasters Online Gaming has revealed it's working on the official Dirty Dancing game for PC.

It'll be some sort of casual puzzle action title from developer Say Design, and will apparently be in our stockings this Christmas. You see, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic film, so everyone, particularly teary-eyed girls, are going bananas for it.

Unfortunately there's little more information than that, although film studio Lionsgate is confident the strong licence will make for an instant hit.

"Dirty Dancing delivers compelling subject matter that has all the tools to become an instant hit online," said Anne Parducci, executive vice president of marketing at Lionsgate. "The movie appeals to audiences of all ages and continues to win over new fans through increased exposure from the highly successful DVDs and multiple airings on cable.

"For two decades, girls and women have identified with Baby, and through this wonderful game from Codemasters, they will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in her world like never before."

Dirty Dancing first appeared back in 1987 and tells the story of a young lady who meets an experienced dance instructor and triggers an emotional roller coaster. It stars Jennifer Grey and Lord Patrick of Swayze and has sold more than 10 million DVDs to date.

Watch out for more information in the coming weeks. Or don't, and play something else instead. Like the spoons. Anything.
