Did Nintendo steal Final Fantasy art?

Pandora's Tower cover looks very familiar.

Fingers are being pointed at Nintendo over uncanny similarities between the box art for its forthcoming Wii action title Pandora's Tower and concept art for Square Enix's planned PlayStation 3 title Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

As uncovered by the eagle-eyed Japanese Hachimaki blog and reported by Andriasang, the depiction of Pandora's Tower hero Ende on the game's cover appears to be a copy of artwork for Final Fantasy's Noctis character.

Take a look at the comparison shots below and see what you think.

We've contacted Nintendo for comment and will update if we get a response.

In case you missed the announcement earlier this month, Pandora's Tower is a Nintendo-published action title developed by One Piece/Jump Ultimate Stars studio Ganbarion. It's out in Japan next month.
