Players will be able to "ghost" their way through the whole of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and complete the game without being detected.
This will even include boss fights, according to developer Eidos Montreal.
Responding to a fan question via Twitter, game director Jean-François Dugas confirmed that players will be able to remain unseen and undetected throughout the entire game.
Eidos Montreal faced criticism for the boss fights in 2011's Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which the studio admitted had been outsourced to another developer.
Happily, Mankind Divided will also feature the hardcore stealth mode Give Me Deus Ex, Dugas confirmed. Additionally, the developer is looking at options for a New Game Plus offering.
Revealed by publisher Square-Enix last week, Mankind Divided is a sequel to Human Revolution set several years later.
Protagonist Adam Jensen is now working for Interpol to hunt down augmented terrorists in a world that hates and fears cybernetically enhanced humans. New abilities include the ability to remote hack electronics and erect a nanoshield.
