Deus Ex: HR special edition detailed

Pre-orders get access to exclusive mission.

Deus Ex fans looking for a little extra when Human Revolution launches next year need look no further than the Augmented Edition, just announced by publisher Square Enix.

$69.99 (or $59.99 on PC) will get US users the game, a behind-the-scenes DVD, a motion graphic novel, the soundtrack and a 40 page art book.

Square Enix also announced a number of pre-order incentives for the Eidos-developed action RPG.

GameStop is offering access to a new mission featuring a familiar face from the original Deus Ex, alongside a number of exclusive items: The Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED) and the Automatic Unlocking Device.

Other retailers are offering extra in-game credits and two in-game items: The Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun and the Longsword Whisperhead Extreme Range Sniper Rifle.

Square Enix hasn't confirmed a European release for the Augmented Edition yet but we're chasing.

The third entry in the Deus Ex saga launches on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early next year. As you can probably tell from the trailer below, it's looking rather special.
