Cloudcompete ties together Need for Speed: Most Wanted's different platforms

Level up across mobile, PC and console.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted will provide a persistent experience across various platforms thanks to a newly revealed feature that's been dubbed Cloudcompete.

The new mode allows players to level up on one platform before carrying that progress on to another, and it'll span mobile, PC, home console and Vita versions of Criterion's game.

Cloudcompete heads up a radical and, quite frankly, exciting take on the Need for Speed brand from the Guildford based developer. All of the game's cars will be open from the get go, and it's simply up to the player to go and find them in the open world location of Fairhaven.

"An open world game deserves an open world structure," Criterion's Matt Webster said at EA's Gamescom conference.

Need for Speed Most Wanted is out on November 15 on every platform ever.
