CastleMiner Z sells over one million units

Now the best-selling XBLIG game of all-time.

CastleMiner Z has set the record for best-selling Xbox Live Indie Game ever with over one million units sold in just over 10 months since its 9th November 2011 release, developer DigitalDNA Games has announced.

The blocky world-building survival game bears more than a passing resemblance to Minecraft, but it uses Xbox Live avatars as playable characters and it was available on Microsoft's console long before Notch's phenomenon and for a fraction of the price at 80 Microsoft Points. Also, it has guns.

DigitalDNA added that CastleMiner Z was the first game to remain the daily best-selling game on Xbox Live's Indie channel for over 10 months.
