Both PS4 and Xbox One will wake to remote download new content
It'll be waiting for you when you get home.Sony and Microsoft have both confirmed that their next-gen consoles can automatically download freshly-purchased content while you're away from the machine.
PlayStation 4 will wake up when it detects you've bought content via the web or your Vita, Sony exec Shuhei Yoshida explained earlier this week.
The PS4 will then go back to sleep - something Shu himself knows a little about.
@SyriasSerj When you buy a PS4 game on smartphone, it will wake your PS4 up to start downloading the game. PS4 goes back to sleep after that

Microsoft exec Marc Whitten confirmed this morning that Xbox One can do the same. While on low power mode it will continue to download games and updates to remain always up to date, he said.
Yes! Of course you can download while you are away. #xboxone - Always up to date, always your console. The beauty of low power mode!
