I know it is hard to believe, but 2024 is nearly upon us. In fact, 10 weeks today is 1st January (welp!).

In anticipation of our next lap around the sun, Awesome Games Done Quick has released its full schedule for 2024's charity speedrun event in January. Taking place between 14th and 21st January (both online and, in a change from recent years, also in person in Pittsburgh), the event features an extensive speedrunning schedule. This will include Peanut Butter the dog, who will be speedrunning the 1985 NES platformer Gyromite! What a Su-paw-star.

Other highlights from the upcoming invent include an Any% speedrun of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by gymnast86, a The Last of Us PS4 Any% speedrun and modded Hades speedrun that will see two players (arcalena and trash_lapras) using one controller and three weapons to get through the game.

If you are interested in watching this winter marathon of games done at speeds I can only fathom, you will be able to do so on GDC's Twitch channel. If you would prefer to be right on the sidelines and there in person, it's all happening at the Wyndham Grand in downtown Pittsburgh.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2024 will also be benefiting the Prevent Cancer Foundation. This is a nonprofit which is dedicated to cancer prevention and early detection. There will be the chance to donate directly to the foundation during the event.

You can check out next year's full schedule of events here.
