Superbrothers EP dated for iPad, iPhone

The vernal equinox approaches.

Bewitching iOS sonic adventure Superbrothers EP: Sword & Sworcery hits iPad on 24th March with an iPhone release to follow in April, developer Capybara Games has announced.

That's just a couple of days shy of the 'vernal equinox' date the developer teased last month.

According to the game's official website, Superbrothers EP is "a mix of laid-back exploration, careful investigation and mysterious musical problem-solving occasionally punctuated by hard-hitting combat encounters.

"S:S&S EP is an unusual genre-bending effort with an emphasis on sound, music and audiovisual style that has been positioned as 'a brave experiment in Input Output Cinema'."

Take a quick gander at the trailer below for a better idea of what Capybara is getting at.

Superfans of Superbrothers might also be interested in Sword & Sworcery LP: The Ballad of the Space Babies. It's a full-length record containing songs from Capybara collaborator Jim Guthrie featuring tracks that either inspired or were inspired by the game. You'll be able to pick that up in early April on limited edition vinyl via Cory Schmitz, or download it on iTunes or Bandcamp.
