The official Vice City website has been updated with a new PC section, showcasing a few new screenshots, and information on the game including the long-awaited system specifications. According to Rockstar, the game is being built "from the ground up" to fit the PC this time around, and there will be all sorts of new features including player skinning, custom radio stations, a replay mode and lots of other bits and bobs. It all sounds rather excellent.

As for the system requirements, the minimum specs are unashamedly high, demanding an 800MHz processor, 128MB RAM, 915MB HDD space and a 32MB video card. Apparently you'll need to add 635MB of HDD space if your video card doesn't support DirectX texture compression. The recommended specs are slightly higher - a P4 or Athlon XP processor, 256MB+ memory, 1.55GB HDD space (again, plus 635 if you can't do DXTC), and a 64MB+ video card. As for OS support, you should be OK with any flavour of Windows, although 2000 will need Service Pack 3 and XP will need Service Pack 1. Bad luck, warez monkeys.

Vice City PC is due out on May 16th.
