Dark Alliance revisited

Baldur's Gate gets second console outing

Proving once and for all that Dark Alliances prosper, Vivendi and Interplay have announced a sequel to the rather excellent Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, due out on PS2 and Xbox in the States before the end of the year.

The game is set in the Forgotten Realms world according to GameSpot, and will employ the 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rule set.

Players will be able to pick from five customisable characters, and will also get the chance to make their own magical artefacts, using the game's new item-creation system.

With the game due out late this year in the US, we should probably expect to see it in the UK and Europe early next.
