Acclaim has happily announced that impossibly fast crash 'em up Burnout will be released on the PS 2 Platinum label on February 7th, probably going for £19.99. No doubt Acclaim is keen to capitalise on the success of sequel Point of Impact, which has been discounted to £30 by most retailers already.

However, if you do fancy picking up the original and seeing what all the fuss is about, you might do better to consider the Cube and Xbox versions, both of which can already be had for £15-18 or less if you shop around a bit on the Internet. Hint: prices are falling in the Amazon.
