Star Wars Galaxies release date
First exciting MMORPG in how long?
Sony Online Entertainment (basically the publisher Sony set up to handle Verant) has revealed that the universally anticipated [ho ho - Ed] MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, will be released on April 15, 2003. We can't tell you if that applies to Europe as well as the US, where the announcement was made, but our inkling is no. And it being Christmas people aren't keen to tell us one way or another.
Galaxies has been in development for quite some time, and continues to channel Star Wars fans' interest by - as far as we can tell - mapping every last particle of space dust in that galaxy far, far away and giving every aspect of Lucas' universe a back-story to amuse and enchant. We don't know about you, but we can hardly wait to settle into our sandy mud-hut and sentences construct wisely albeit badly, hmm?
