Evil resides in 2004

Says Capcom

Resident Evil 4 won't appear until at least early 2004, the US branch of Capcom has told journalists. The GameCube-exclusive title will be the first in the series to run in full 3D and stars Leon S. Kennedy as he attempts to uncover an evil Umbrella Corporation conspiracy - whilst unhappily also becoming infected with the dreaded T-virus.

Of course, Resident Evils 0, 2 and 3 will appear on GameCube in the meantime. Zero has recently launched to critical and commercial acclaim in Japan and 2 and 3 are said to be coming along nicely - then again as straight, half-priced ports they aren't likely to prove much of a stopgap for eager Residents.
