NOLF2 gets deathmatch

Question mark over non-US edition support

No One Lives Forever 2 has been patched to version 1.2, in a move which adds deathmatch support and a number of deathmatch maps to the game. However, despite leaking out in an incomplete form last week, the patch and map pack finally appeared on Sierra's FTP yesterday evening.

We're still not sure this is the official-official release, and we'd advise those of you outside the US to think carefully (and certainly back up any save games) before applying the patch, on account of potential localisation/support issues.

Unfortunately, this writer lacks a copy of NOLF2 to test the new patch, so if anybody can shed some light on whether it works with non-US versions of the game, speak now!
