EA says: beat up rappers

Only on PlayStation 2 and GameCube

EA Canada's NBA Street team will join forces with AKI Corporation (creators of some decent N64 wrestling titles) to produce Def Jam Vendetta, a PS2 and GameCube beat 'em up with more than 45 fighters, including 12 of Def Jam Records' recording artists.

As you may have guessed from the headline, Vendetta will allow you to stand there and beat seven shades out of artists including DMX, Ludacris, Method Man, Scarface and other ridiculously named individuals (and perhaps even groups!). The combat style is said to be a cross between wrestling, street brawling and "Def Jam's urban attitude".

Unfortunately, the soundtrack will be provided by the artists on display, but on the whole, we're all in favour of Def Jam Vendetta, and we'll bring you more on the game as it continues development. The game is due out during 2003.
