Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo makes a welcome return

Capcom is bringing Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, a tongue-in-cheek Tetris-esque puzzle game starring super-deformed characters from Street Fighter and Darkstalkers, to GameBoy Advance. The game will be out in the US in time for Christmas.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is, for the uninitiated, a strangely addictive puzzle game built around various super-deformed Capcom characters. Super-deformity, in case you've forgotten, is the term used to describe piddly characters with huge oversized heads - shrunken cartoon parodies, if you will. The gimmick in Puzzle Fighter was the way that each character could unleash signature moves to upset the other player's screen. The simple gameplay should translate with no great difficulty to the GBA screen and controls, and link cable support is promised.
