X02: Before the end of the year...

Splinter Cell, Blinx, Toejam and Earl III, Unreal Championship and more

Although Xbox Live stole the show in Seville, and its March 14th launch date was perhaps the biggest talking point this evening, Microsoft is keen to remind us all that the European Xbox will host a number of exciting titles before the end of the year.

Amongst them, Ubi Soft's Splinter Cell, voted the best game of ECTS 2002, Microsoft's own Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Sega's Toejam and Earl III: All Funked Up and Sega GT 2002, and Infogrames' eagerly anticipated Xbox Live debut, Unreal Championship, which will arrive before the end of the year for "Test Drive" users to enjoy.

Joining Unreal Championship on the test circuit will be Microsoft's own MechAssault and Whacked!, and another from Ubi Soft in the shape of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. THQ's MotoGP will also appear as part of the Xbox Live starter kit.
