GameBoy goes Platinum

Nintendo announces a collector’s edition of its handheld console for Europe

Back on June 3rd, Nintendo of America released a limited edition platinum coloured GameBoy Advance unit, made available for a slightly higher price, to celebrate the success of the console in the US. Today, Nintendo has announced plans to release the console in a limited run for European consumers. The platinum GBA will go on sale on September 27th, at the normal price of 99 euros or roughly £59.99. The move is sure to be popular with collectors and die hard Nintendo fans, to whom the prospect of a limited edition console will make a big impression.
