GBA tops one million in UK

It's a goodun.

Nintendo's GameBoy Advance has sold more than one million units in the UK since its launch in June 2001, the platform holder is delightedly reporting today. The GBA's popularity has grown with the release of (go on, lynch me for saying it) killer applications such as Advance Wars and popular revamps like Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, which shipped last Friday. Since just prior to the console's launch, this website has published over 25 reviews. If you want another useless statistic, GBA software enjoys one of the highest average scores of any system covered, apart from the Neo Geo Pocket Color, for which all the games were golden and the sun shone out of its expansion port. Bless you, SNK. The recently released Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is currently one of the five most popular games in Europe, according to the ELSPA.
