The Sci Fi Channel has revealed that a four hour mini-series based on the multi-million selling adventure game Myst is in the works. Produced by Mandalay, whose past work includes great movies like Donnie Brasco, Sleepy Hollow and Seven Years In Tibet, in association with Myst developers Cyan and Columbia Tri Star Domestic Television, the series will "uncover an ancient civilization that existed for thousands of years beneath the surface of the Earth, a civilization that created magical books allowing one to travel to other worlds". It's not yet known who will direct or star in this adaptation, and quite frankly we're more excited at the prospect of Sci Fi's new Battlestar Galactica mini-series. Still, Myst should be hitting the small screen some time in the next year or two, so expect to hear more soon.
