Swedish publisher Pan Interactive have just announced their latest title, Intergalactic Bounty Hunter, an episodic sci-fi action-adventure game set to be unveiled at the big E3 trade show in Los Angeles later this month. The title is being co-developed by Pan and Creative Capers, an animation studio which has worked on Disney movies such as Mulan and Beauty & The Beast as well as a host of video games for the mouse house.

Intergalactic Bounty Hunter is expected to be released on CD-Rom around the end of September, but Pan are planning this as the first part of a trilogy, with the possibility of the concept being used for "mobile internet games, streaming media, cartoons and television" in future as well. How this will all Pan out [you're fired - pun Ed.] remains to be seen as the first batch of early screenshots from the game aren't exactly breathtaking, but with a strong retro feel borrowing liberally from the likes of Flash Gordon, Star Wars and 1950s sci-fi art it certainly has the potential to hit the mark.
