The latest information from Eidos is that "Tomb Raider Chronicles", Lara Croft's latest third person adventure, has been confirmed for a November 17th release, giving us just a couple of weeks to wait for the .. um .. you know, we've actually lost count of how many Tomb Raider games this makes. Anyway, this one is based on yet another rehash of the age old Tomb Raider graphics engine, but comes with a level editor for the first time, giving you the chance to create your own missions for the game.

Meanwhile another long-lived franchise will be shambling out into the light again on November 24th, a week later than we had been expecting. Yes, it's the PC version of "Resident Evil 3 : Nemesis", the popular console horror-survival game featuring a beautiful scantily clad woman .. just for a change. "Project IGI" (known as "I'm Going In" to the Americans) is another game on the slide, falling back two weeks to December 8th after complaints that the control system in the recent demo version was rather less than perfect, leading to Eidos USA bizarrely disowning the demo entirely.

One game that is likely to court less controversy though is "Chicken Run", the game of the movie featuring the exploits of a group of 1950s chickens desperately trying to escape a Stalag Luft style farm before they can be turned into pies. The PC version has been delayed by two weeks to December 8th, although the console versions are still on course for release at the end of this month.
