Raven's Kevin Schilder, sound director on their first person shooter "Star Trek Voyager : Elite Force", has spoken to System Logic about his experience writing music for the game, following in the footsteps of legendary Star Trek composers such as Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner as he boldly goes where any number of men have gone before.

According to Kevin, "although the thematic and stylistic example of these composers was a guide and influence, I did not try to recreate their music". He went on to explain that "composing for film or TV is different than games. You can make the music fit what you see on screen because it will pretty much always happen the same way. In game music, you never know what might be going on visually while your music is playing. So, the music needs to be approached in a different, more subtle way."
