of Rogue Entertainment. They got him in to speak about Rogue's upcoming Quake 3 engine-powered title American McGee's Alice. For the unobsessive game fan out there American McGee was the genius behind many of the Quake and Quake 2 levels while at id Software, as famous for his work as the mysterious circumstances in which he left id some years back.

Peter has some interesting things to say about using the Quake 3 engine for their game. "I'm glad to be working with only one rendering engine. The Quake II technology, where we had to support both software and OpenGL was a little frustrating. We'd be able to make a cool effect in one renderer, but not the other and then had to find something that would work on both."
