Wright Bagwell Interview

The folks over at Latest Updates have posted an interview with Valve developer Wright Bagwell. Wright is a level designer, who in his past life had done some funky quake levels such as 'The Vigil'.

The article goes quite deep into the what to do's and what not to do's of level designing. "It's common for a hard-core gamer to rattle off a list of things he or she would like to see in an upcoming game, or their "dream game", without putting a lot of thought into whether or not those things truly translate into a really fun gaming experience. "
