Building Asheron's Call

Toby Ragaini of Turbine Games has described the lengthy process of developing their ambitious massively multiplayer RPG "Asheron's Call", and taken a look at some of the hurdles they overcame and the problems they suffered from during that time.

"I'm not sure why anyone thought it was possible", Toby admits, talking about his arrival at the company back in 1995. "We had no office, no technology to speak of, and no publisher. And I was being paid $800 a month. Yet from these humble beginnings, something truly wonderful was created."
