The future of Aureal, the company behind the popular A3D sound system, hangs in the balance today with the news that the company's CEO, technical and financial officers, and most of the other senior staff members have resigned en masse for reasons as yet unknown.

The press release says that what's left of the company "is seeking replacement or turnaround management and is considering all necessary actions to either sell the Company or its assets or wind down the Company".
