BT free net access update

BT have responded to the recent announcement of free internet access from NTL by reducing the planned price of their SurfTime service.

The bad news is that it will still cost at least £29.95 a month (including phone line rental). BT claims that "such charges are directly comparable to US prices" .. directly comparable in the sense that they're much more expensive. The good news is that BT's offer is aimed at ISPs, so you should get a choice of service providers.
