Unreal Tournament for Playstation 2

Prompted by yesterday's announcement that the LithTech engine is now licensed "middleware" for the Playstation 2, Epic's Tim Sweeney has posted a big ass update on the Unreal Tech Page.

Tim talks about optimising the Unreal Tournament engine for the PS2 and the costs and benefits of licensing the engine, as well as taking a swipe at Monolith. It also includes confirmation that curved surfaces, height maps for outdoors areas, hardware T&L support, and skeletal animation for characters are all on the way for the engine.
