Confirming a rumour that's been doing the rounds for several months now, Electronic Arts have made this Bond fan very happy by announcing that they have licensed the Quake III Arena engine from id Software to develop a game based on the latest Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough. Maybe we will finally see a decent Bond game for the PC now?

The press release says that "additional EA games that will utilize the revolutionary technology will be announced at a later date", which suggests there may be more Q3 based games from EA in the future, as well TWINE and American McGee's Alice (which is almost mentioned by name).
