Apple removes the "free" label from F2P games

App get!

After plenty of scrutiny from the Federal Trade Commission, the UK Office of Fair Trading, the European Commission, and most importantly South Park, Apple has finally removed the word "free" from free-to-play games on the App Store.

Now such titles bear the Mario Sunshine-esque label "get." No, really! Take a look:

Of course, they still show up under the "free" tab, and iTunes listings continue to call such titles "free," but it's still a major change for such a popular distribution service.

Back in February the European Commission stated, "Games advertised as 'free' should not mislead consumers about the true costs involved." Since then Google Play has removed the word from its digital marketplace.

What do you make of the new moniker for free-to-play games? You think people will get it?
