Tropico 3 expansion unlikely on 360

Kalypso focused on PC for now.

Kalypso won't comment on an Xbox 360 version of Tropico 3 expansion Absolute Power.

The publisher would only tell Eurogamer it was focusing on delivering the add-on for PC in May.

The likelihood of a console version, therefore, is slim.

Absolute Power gifts rulers with various new tourist attractions. There's a balloon ride, Ferris wheel and marina, and for each there are pros and cons.

Tropicans with below average courage or slob tourists will not ride the Ferris wheel, and while the marina may attract the rich, fishing excursions will reduce resources for fisherman who make a living from the sea.

Absolute Power will cost £20 and require Tropico 3 to play. Luckily, Tropico 3 happens to be very good. Eurogamer reviewed the game separately on PC and Xbox 360.

I'm genuinely upset by this news. :(

£20 seems a little pricey if all you get is a few extra buildings...

ok, a few more details here: [link url=http://www.tropico3.com/

£20 still seems pricey though, for that price I expected somthing that would actually expand the gameplay, like neighbouring islands...

Shit i should really play this.

Bought it on PC awesome game just had no time to play it, lots of other games and work to be done.

Graphics are great on it, a good little simulation game

Considering that I bought the game for less, their pricing structure seems slightly off.

I don't have Tropico 3 but I think this is quite lame. The code is already there (from the original) so most of the porting to the 360 is already done. I know that it's not as simple as adding just a few more models and textures but it really isn't that much work. It's really not something that I would want to hear if I had Tropico 3.

I wonder if the real reason is the price. 20 for an expansion? Ok, fine, but I doubt they could ask the same for 360 DLC which could be the reason why they don't even bother with the 360 version.

Why couldn't the ask the same on Xbox?

I think the most likely explanation that the number of people who bought for Xbox does not justify the extra trouble of certification.

Or another possibility, it is actually going to be done for Xbox, but they are not delaying the PC version to wait for the Xbox version to get certified.

Really disappointed about this, I preordered Tropico 3 for the 360... got it Day 1. The game is nearly 5 months old now and they still haven't brought out a patch to fix the save game/population glitch.

Despite that, It's still easily the best strategy game on the 360.

Sold. From the official site there's a goodly amount of content coming in this expansion.

I love Tropico III on my 360! I was top of the global leaderboard for a while there, which resulted in me getting incomprehensible messages from Live members in Germany...

I'd absolutely spend some extra cash on an expansion - if only as a thank-you to the developers. Sad to hear I likely won't be able to! : /
