Test Drive Unlimited 2 US date, pre-orders
Likely to be out in Europe in late September.
Atari has announced that Test Drive Unlimited 2 is due out in the US on 21st September for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
The European arm of the publisher listed the game for autumn in its weekly release dates update yesterday evening, but British retailers Play.com and GAME have it down for 24th September, which would make sense.
US gamers will be able to pre-order from various places from tomorrow onwards, and each has various incentives. GameStop, most notably, is offering a standalone TDU2: Casino Online bonus game with poker, roulette and slots, plus two bonus in-game cars.
Amazon is offering an Aston Martin V12 Vantage Carbon Black special edition, plus avatar clothing; Walmart has an Inuit Audi Q7 V12 TDI Quattro and avatar clothing; Best Buy has the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black; and Atari.com has a yellow Nissan 370Z (Fairlady Z).
European pre-orders should be announced soon.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 puts players behind the wheel of various sexy cars in Ibiza and on the Hawaiian island of Oahu (enhanced after its turn in the original game). Each location is full of races, property to buy and other things to do, and you can define your own challenges and interact with other players while you're at it.

September 24th is also the current release date for the uber hyped F1 2010 on exactly the same platforms.
The mind boggles.

@MontyBrewster - agreed! They could've pushed it a month or 2 toward xmas really.
My interest in F12010 is prob more than TD:U, but I always wait for reviews.
NB theres still a demo for the first one on xbox live.
