Ninja Theory working on "new concept"
Distances self from sequel chatter.
Ninja Theory has said its next game is based on an "exciting new concept" and will be "bigger and better than ever before".
The statement was made on its re-designed website alongside a batch of artwork for the enigmatic project, and suggests what we will see is not a Heavenly Sword sequel after all.
"Right now we're working on an exciting new concept that has got everyone we talk to buzzing," read the statement. "We can't say a lot except that it's going to be great to work on and should be even better to play!
"It'll take all the things we loved about Heavenly Sword and make them bigger and better than ever before."
Confusing, then, not least because a spokesperson referred to the hack-and-slasher as "Heavenly Sword 1" at Andy Serkis' Games Eden event last December.
Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades had previously said in a podcast that the original idea had been to make Heavenly Sword a "three-game story", too.
Nice pictures, though: we like pictures.

Whatever it is I hope its not another hack n' slash fighting game. We just don't need them, especially not mediocre ones when the market is already saturated.
