Will come bundled with Resident Evil 5.

Microsoft has officially unveiled the Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition Console Bundle, which includes a red Xbox 360 and matching wireless pad.

We can expect the bundle on the same day that Resident Evil 5 launches: 13th March.

Along with the console, pad and copy of the game, buyers will get an exclusive downloadable premium Resident Evil 5 theme. The bundle also includes a black headset and a 120GB hard drive

Oh, and there's a code-card to download Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix thrown in, too.

The bundle has been confirmed for a release in the UK, but there's no word on how much it'll cost yet. Major Nelson has declared the US bundle will cost the same price as the Elite, i.e. USD 399 (GBP 275 / EUR 310).

Yeah, red is a bit of a fugly colour for a console. Though it has nothing on the ugliness of the limited edition Pikachu N64, that was ugliness of the type that will probably never be seen again....hopefully.

A red console would be a nice change. All this black and white recently is getting boring. I did like the colourful days of the Gamecube. My Xbox is holding pretty steady for now though after it got repaired a few months ago. Don't think I'll need to be replacing it any time soon.

OMG BBQ I am SO trading in my existing Elite at GAME for �110 towards one of these beauties, shame my licenses will be FUBAR'd, as I only just transfered them online when my last Elite went tits up.

Anyway will still buy it and stick current 360 in living room or something

That actually looks pretty nice, and it comes with a HDMI cable to boot.

Coloured consoles can help sales, I remember witht he original xbox, I was in the blance to buy one or not and it was the green limited edition which pushed me over the edge to buy one.

beauty in the eye of the beholder an' that, but none of the 3 7th gen consoles look good, 360's been stamped on, ps3 looks like a plane hanger and the wii should have an ovoid hole to dispense tissues.
